For years Joy played the roles expected of her: the quiet one, the reliable one, the “good” one. As the eldest daughter of a pastor, she grew used to being placed on a pedestal she never asked for. A reluctant leader with too much fire to stay small, she often found herself stepping up in situations simply because no one else would.

Everything changed after a profound spiritual awakening in her mid-twenties. What began as a simple meditation practice to manage anxiety became an undeniable encounter with her higher self—an experience of overwhelming love that reshaped how she understood herself, her body, and her place in the world. From that moment on, there was no going back.

Her twenties were marked by deeply traumatic experiences and an unfolding path towards transformation. In her early thirties, she began reclaiming her life—through therapy, spiritual exploration, and ultimately, a leap into the unknown. In 2020, she sold everything she owned to pursue life as a digital nomad, which led her to living in Colombia for over two years. There, she deepened her spiritual practice, choosing to turn inward rather than follow traditional paths.

Since then, Joy has lived many “lives” within this one—each marked by upheaval, awakening, and reinvention. A recent Christ Consciousness awakening catalyzed another profound shift, calling her to dismantle everything she thought she knew and rebuild from a place of truth and deepening self love. She followed the pull across continents, endured separation, uncertainty, and ultimately, came back home—to herself.

Now a writer of over twenty years, Joy shares from lived experience rather than credentials. Her work is raw, real, and unapologetically messy—because she knows transformation doesn’t happen with performance or perfection.

She moves fast, lives intuitively, and refuses to dilute her intensity.
